We have played key roles in significant cases, including serving as legal advisors to the Special Administrator of FBME Bank Ltd (Cyprus Branch), and advising the Cyprus Depositors Protection Authority. These cases involve complex litigation originating from Cyprus' insolvency and resolution regulations. Our firm has been deeply engaged in court cases relating to the enforcement of the Bank Recovery and Resolution Directive (BRRD), depositors’ rights, and recognition of cross-border insolvency issues. At present, we are dealing with 25+ cases before Cyprus’ courts, while also overseeing 100+ cases involving the resolution of Popular Bank (Laiki Bank), as a result of the 2013 Eurogroup decisions concerning Cyprus' "bail-in".
